About Our Club
Swartland Skaak Akademie was founded with a simple belief: chess should be fun, social, and accessible to everyone. Based in the heart of the Swartland, we bring together players of all ages and skill levels.
From beginners learning their first openings to experienced players competing in regional tournaments, our doors are open to all who share a love for the game.
We meet regularly for casual games, organised tournaments, and coaching sessions. It's not just about the chess — it's about the friendships made along the way.
About Our Membership
Junior Member: Members 7 years up to and including 17 years of age.
General Member: Members from 18 to 59 years of age.
Senior Member: Members of 60 years of age and older.
Honorary Member: Members who have provided exceptional service to the club.
